so i still get problems at cold start ups! the car will turn on and stumble around 400-500 rpms then after about 4-5seconds it shoots up to 1100 and its fine!!
any ideas on what it could be? i knw its suppose to start up right away!! someone mentioned fuel regulator! how would i check that? i also have a vaccum of 20 does that matter? isn't suppose to be 18? thanks in advance Last edited by JRwerks; 08-02-2009 at 04:36 PM.. |

I don't have all the info as i am just an apprentice, but if your running a stock reg or any vacuum operated unit you can use a vacuum pump and see if it hold vacuum. Also if the fuel rail you are using has a shrader valve on it you can hook up a fuel pressure gauge and watch it at start up. Good luck!

loosen the IACV screw so your motor can pre-suck some air into the IM to keep it idleing while in it's cold idle session

found what the problem was just to let everyone know it was that my ignition was getting the 12v it was suppose to be getting which was on pin 36...
so what i did was spliced into the cigarette lighter and hooked it up to that pin and now it starts up every morning beautifully! |
