Lifters or rod knock

Well i have a ka24de just dropped it in my car with about 120,xxx or 125,xxx
I get this weird knocking/clicking sound when i drive pass 2000 rpm.
NO knocking/clicking sound when i idle but its there when i rev passed 2000 rpm.

Anyone know what it can be?

PM and let me know please!

Pop the hood and slowly rev it, it should get louder as you get closer to certain RPMs. Most rod knocking SRs I know have a tendency to knock really hard at around 3-3.5k.

If it is the lifters you should be able to hear it at idle. Mine sounded like someone was beating on it with a hammer.

No if its a rod kock you'd be able to hear it at idle. I took it to my mechanic and he said its a lifter. Plus mine doesnt sound like it getting beat on with a hammer. But thanks for the feedback.
