KA Need suggestions for custom exhaust

Hey, i've been working toward doing the exhaust on my s14 and i'm getting close to having the cash. I already decided i'm getting the hotshot header and it WILL have a cat on it for a few reasons. Now to my question. a friend of mine does custom exhaust, he's done it for 20+ years and i trust his talent. but i want to decide what size piping would be best for my system. i'm thinking 2.5", but some people have said 2.25 and 2.75. Since i'm staying N/A and it's a daily driver, we're talking max performance while maintaining streetability (i.e. not insanely loud and minimal torque loss). thanks for your suggestions, and if you can suggest any nice sounding, inexpensive dual-tip mufflers i'd be greatful.

Everyone seems to like those large single stacks but I would say 2.5 pipeing. I think the stock S13 look is cherry. You can find a free flow muffler for the single 2.5 in dual 1.50 outs.

Mine gives a deep tone..not too radical and none of the nasty SSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH backpressure of the stock muffler.

My stock muffler could not handle it anymore..I blew it to bits.

This one is a midas that was called a "performace stock" instead of oem quiet stock. 80 dollars. Lifetime warrantee. They welded my tips on. No one will rip them off. I get some poping during deacceleration (small flames) but that is the way my car is tuned. Everyone says the flames are cool.

I still think it looks great..Sounds fabulous...kinda like the way an NSX stock sounds.

Dynomax makes a single 2.5" in with dual outs, go 2.5" mandrel bent with a resonator.
