s14 Intake Help!!!

Hey guys, I just installed an Injen CAI on my 98 240sx. Works fine but i still got the Inlet Air Temp. Sensor to worry about. What do i do? Would the AEM one fit on mine? and another problem is that it kinda pokes the bottom cover out. Also can i use the AEM Bypass valve on the Injen as well?

Thanks for the help.

I have the same intake as you on my 97 with the AEM Bypass. Some places I read said the piping needed to be cut for it to fit but I had no problems.

I don't know if this helps but I have just put on a cone filter right after the MAF on the stock hosing. I did not unplug the temp sensor, but its not connected to the intake at all. The car runs fine, nothing is noticable from taking it off the intake, I'm convinced it doesn't do a damn thing at this point. I could be wrong. My point is that maybe going through the trouble of getting it plugged in isn't worth it.

the temp sensor is only used for the on-board diagnostics. running with it completely unplugged may result in a CEL, but should not have any adverse affects.

My early OBDII '95 runs fine with the sensor completely unplugged. Runs fine with the rear O2 sensor unplugged as well (too lazy to ruin a Greddy DD welding a fitting in).

It makes the splash guard poke out at the bottom because it does it on my 96. DO NOT take the guard off, i made that mistake and now i have to put it back on today... i dont know about the sensors because mine came with fittings to put them back on....with the Cold Air Extension and no splash guard you will suck water like you wouldnt believe....
