![]() i'm starting to think of what to do for tires for my other set of rims. (maDD TyT3 gunmetal 84 300zx rims
![]() these will be summers only - i've got 205/60VR15 Dunlops SP Sport 5000's on there for snow and bad weather duty. ideally i think i'd like to run 215/50, but there's only one tire available in such a size and it's way too expensive. so i'm down to 205 width, but there isn't anything decent in 205/60 either ![]() i have a set of supras on my scirocco, and really really really like them. but it seems like everyone around here that does autocross uses falkens (and kicked my dunlop shod *** ![]() Kumho Ecsta Supra 712 - 205/55/VR15 $274 shipped Falken Azenis Sport - 205/50/VR15 $296 shipped thanks for the help in advance |

thanks man. that helps
![]() perhaps i should elaborate on the motorsport leanings of me and my car. it will see about 4-5 autocrosses by the time it comes to put the winters back on. aside from an occasional sideways slide around a corner to scare the girlyfriend, i'm no drifta, nor do i do any track events. the nice tires would mainly be for my enjoyment of the car ![]() i'll do the azenis' if i can be sure that it would be ok to have them on and leave them on all summer without burning off all the tread in a year or two (i do about 4-500 miles a month) and that the 50 series sidewall wouldn't look totally out of place. |

hate to tell you - i just got that quote from tire rack. i think they're running a special, plus shipping is only 30 bucks for 2 day - they're out of indiana so i guess shipping is much less versus cali.

Get the Falkens. Seriously, they are a better auto-x tire, and you will appreciate the smaller sidewall when you times start dropping.
check out here: http://www.groupbuycenter.com/buy.aspx?id=10470 205/50R 15 $59.00 btw - My roommate has 20K miles and 1 track event on his, and still has probably 5K miles left before they get dangerous.
