Eccentric Bolt Substitute?

So all of my suspension arms have adjustable heims, but I am stuck with the stock eccentric bolts. What can I replace these pieces of shit with that comes off the shelf? Obviously a regular bolt will not work as the bolt holes are not just simple round holes.

I can't find anything on google and I've never seen anything mentioned about it here.

If worst comes to worst just weld a washer on each side and use a proper grade bolt and be done with it.

Yeah, this is about the only thing I can think to do.

It sucks, because you go through the trouble of getting quality, adjustable links, but then you still have the eccentric bolts, which over time could maybe rotate a bit here or there, throwing your alignment off.

Normal washers the size of the eccentric washers. Should center the bolts. Then get another alignment.

The clamping force keeps the arms in place not the eccentrics. They are just a guide for adjusting.

I just left the eccentrics in there, and tightened them down as tight as I could.....but yeah, I see what you are saying.

eccentric bolts

SPL sells eccentric lockout kits that eliminate the eccentric bolts in the rear. The kits are $30 a piece and two kits are required to do the complete rear end. I would like to find out the specs to there kit, as you could probably piece it together yourself for less than half.

I like welding washers in there, just make sure penetration is good, your you'll bust the washers and have your RUCA/toe arms flopping left and right a good half inch.

I knock the pressed-on washer off the eccentric bolt, and grind the splines off the inside (this allows the bolt to spin independently of the washer...to tighten it). Same for the loose washer on the nut end...grind off the 'tab' on the inside of the washer.

Then weld those washers onto the subframe.

Reuse the OEM bolt and nut.

Done and done.

Stack two fender washers on either side if you're really not capable of welding, does the same job. They'll sit in the indention on the subframe and won't twist or walk.
