Transmission squeal

Ok, so a few weeks ago I I began noticing a squeal on the 2-3 shift that became progressively louder, but only on the 2-3 shift under moderate acceleration in the 3-4000 rpm range. Then it became the 2-3 and 3-4 shift and now since the drive to CO it seems to be more common, producing a quieter squeal in the same rev range but while in gear during load changes due to added or lift throttle.

Anyone have an idea of what could be failing? I've had a slow tranny leak through the sensors but I don't think it has been substanial enough to have lost that much fluid and I haven't been noticing spots under my car lately (I also just added the remaining 1/16 quart of Amsoil synthetic 75MT-90 I had left in the container with no change in the sound). My guess is maybe the thrust/ pilot bearing on the clutch. It's a cheap part bu a difficult swap and would probably mean I might at well source a new clutch if I'm going to to do all that work since I'm at 72,000 miles now.

Tranny is stock original other than the B&M shifter, and the engine is making near stock power with just an exhaust, and drop in filter and 2 degree timing advance.
