S14 help!

So I had replaced my fuel pump and when I did this, the old one was all rusty.

After I put the new one in, the car ran great for a few weeks. Now after 10 minutes of driving the car wouldn't pass around 4000RPM and it just kinda bogs like its hitting a wall...it still builds boost like normal .... but when i turn the car off and back on, it immediately runs great for 10 minutes then back to the same thing... bogging at 4000RPM and slowly gets worse and doesn't really generate boost...

So i checked the fuel pump because it is making lots of noise and the screen was already dark and looked a rusty color.... I had also recently put a manual boost controller on and ran it at 16lbs by accident for 10 minutes then set it at 13lbs for about 4 days.. this is when it started really acting up.. so i took the boost controller off and its still doing the same thing... I have no idea what the f**K is going on :S can someone please help!

I think your fuel pump might be bad if you didn't blow your head gasket while accidentally running 16lbs.

You put the sock on the new one right?

Fuel tank is dirty

Siphon the fuel tank out and try to clean the bottom of it,

replace the fuel pump sock and the fuel filter in the engine bay

1. There should be no rust in the fuel system, as your S14 has a plastic tank.

2. When you say 'hits a wall' at 4000 rpm, will it even go over 4000 rpm? Or does it just get very rich and not run well at all?

I'm leaning to think that you have a MAF issue, as it sounds like your car is in limp mode. Do you have a CEL on? Is there anyway you can swap MAF's locally?
