I have done a search but haven't found anything directly related to this. I know the NGK's are the best way to go for spark plugs but was reading up and can't find any consistent info on which is better. Some say the iridiums last longer but then the ground is standard on these whereas the double platinums have a better ground. Either one of these known to be better. They also have laser iridium and platinums as well.
My car just has intake no serious mods.

Also, i guess I'll just stick with the oem wires. Guess dealership carries yazaki? Is there a cheaper place to get them from?

I though NGK's were Stock or was it Denso?

Platinum sucks for transmission. It's used cause it lasts longer then Copper or Steel in the combustion chamber. More for OEM's that want 100k out of their plugs not performance.

Iridium's have the long life of Platinum with better conductivity.

I use NGK V-Power. 9bux for a pack. change em every season. (December, March, June, September). Im due for a change soon, as i did my oil change a little early (oil pan gasket).

I just cant justify spending 8+bucks PER plug.

I run NGK Wires and NGK V-Power, screw iridium, screw platinum, screw $10+/per spark plugs.

Spark plugs are maintenance parts, they don't last forever, you have to swap them out anyways, all spark plugs perform the same function albeit with different materials used in construction.

depends on what you run.

If you run nitrous...stay away from platinum

If you run boost...copper is good, but you'll change them constantly. Iridiums last longer but cost alot more than copper. I use iridiums NGK...two step colder.

$9 for a set of 4 copper plugs, and you change them 4 times a year, which will cost you $36 a year.
$8~9 for one iridium plug ($32-36 for a set), and you really do not need to change them out, just inspect them.

I believe I am better off if I use iridium from what you told me...

Hm, i never thought of it like that (in the long run). Although i could do it twice a year, instead of 4 times, if i wanted to. I just like changing plugs.
