Some different Qs about AT to MT swap
Ok i read about the Auto to manual swap and read and searched all the questions that have been answered. I looked in the FAQ section about the parts being used. Is there any parts that my auto tranny parts can be used for the 5spd swap? i ehard that the trans crossmember and the driveshaft can be used from my auto. and since i got a KA24e can my auto ecu be used w/the 5 spd tranny because i couldn't any info on the SOHC ecu being swapable.

in answer to your question in short. No you cannot use the auto tranny crossmember, there bolt up pattern is basically a reverse of the manual one and you would have to make modifications that would be more time consuming than its worth. You can use the rear section of the driveshaft but the input shaft on the front section has different splines. as far as your ecu goes I cannot say 100% you can get away with using the auto ecu and not have it throw codes but it is well over 75% chance IMHO you would have no problem seeing as your car is OBDI. I did it with my 91.

I said you could use your auto ecu , I just will not gurantee it will not throw a code which would turn on your check engine light. In the case of my old 91 I used the auto ecu and the check engine light did not come on. Car ran fine. otherwise no you can't use your auto driveshaft or auto tranny crossmember.
