This only happens in first gear. When I release the clutch and release it from friction point, there's some squeal. It happens only on the first few initial releases. After like 10 times or so the problem disappears. The squeal also occurs when I shut off the car. Also, the clutch pedal and shifter vibrates like hell when I start up the car.

Clutch? Transmission?

Have you ever replaced the clutch?

If not, how many miles and how much abuse?

Most likely its your clutch.

Oh yea, and your large vibration during start could be bad motor mounts.

squeling can either be from loose belts. if you are sure its coming from your drivetrain, transmision in particular, it can be your pilot bearing. if its worn down, it'll make a squeeling sound. taking it out is a bitch but its cheap and should be done when your tranny is out.

Hmm, I was wondering about something similar...

Whenever I depress the clutch pedal, it makes a little squeak.

Only when I depress it. No other sounds/vibrations or whatever.

is it just a spring? do i need to oil it or something? :P

I kinda have the same problem but I have a new clutch ACT 6 puck I think the problem is a leaky clutch slave cylinder becuase my slave is leaking a bit...

...what the hell man sh*t is p*ssing me off so I ordered a nismo slave cylinder w/ strengthening bolt...and im hoping that will take car of it

ruth, that should take care of it. your clutch slave cylinder is probably old and leaking so ordering a new one should be the fix. the nismo unit is expensive, $160! i got an oem one from kragens for less than $10 but i still want the nismo one b/c it is slightly bigger and because its Nismo. lol.

Man I changed the slave but the noise still happening.....

I also just realised that I have to take my tranny off to put in my strengthen bolt man what the hell!!!
