I posted this in the other thread too, but you should make some that offset the steering rack as far forward as possible, as this helps eliminate some of the overcentering that occurs when using modified knuckles.

i put in some energy suspension steering rack bushings but i honestly question whether or not i'll be able to feel the difference once spring rolls around.

anyone notice anything after replacing the steering rack bushings ?

You'll notice a little more firmness depending on condition of the OE bushings. Most S13s I've seen they're well worn, so you'll like the change.

I paid over 100$ from Yanack for these.... they are a nice upgrade. Never going to rubber/poly crap. It's not harsh or anything like that either, in fact feels less harsh or its in my mind. Also got the solid steering column bushing (s13)

I too am interested. I also installed the energy suspension bushing, but had to shim them with part of the used oem set, as i felt the rack was still sloppy. Plus i could see the gap through the round bushing.

Here is one thing that I can't stress enough with about 6k miles on my yanack solid bushings....

If possible put or supply a layer of tacky rubber or some nice rubber to fill gaps that happen to be there. This will help reduce rack shifting under lateral pressure from turning the tires and outside pressure from tires gripping the road. No matter how tight you get it or how in spec, not all racks are the exact mold, so if you can supply some rubber inserts to help fill any gaps, I think it would make this way better than Yanacks....

I filled in my gaps with 1/8' - 1/16' rubber from silicon hoses as they can grip on metal or aluminum really well...

Just my opinion.
