Rb27 build needs ecu, can't decide

Hey guys I'm finally building my rb27 and I'm looking for a good ecu to run it all but money is tight and currently afford a pfc so I'm looking for my best bang for the buck. any first hand experience with ANY stand alone would be perfect.

Engine mods
800cc injectors
Sard fpr
Tomei Poncams
Ported head
Ported tntake mani
90mm tb
Wisco 87mm pistons
Manley rods
Turbonetics 60 trim
If any one can shed some light on this it would be helping me out alot I never used a stand alone only an apexi neo and it sucked and never again will I use one

my advice is to wait and do it right don't cheap out on the most important part of a build. but if you cant wait do a simple base tune and just cruise it then upgrade your ecu and then have fun with the car

Save your money and get a good standalone. I had a Pro-Efi 128 unit on my build because I have personally seen what they can do.....and its INCREDIBLE! If you can wait around and get a universal one and work with Sound Performance to spec you out a harness. They had mine custom made for plug and play. I honestly think its the best standalone for the price but if you wanted something a little less expensive yet very capable then AEM Infinity or Haltech PS2000.

Dont skimp out on the most important part of your whole build. If your near Long Island, "Alpha" who is a very reputable tuner is always at M&S Performance and can give your car the final sprinkle of magic as can Garth at Underground Performance in North Jersey.

The car won't have any street driving on it it's strictly a track car as its an r33 and I don't like it on the street to much attention from the law. I'm gunna look at prices a little later again the motor won't be done till next year anyway cause every thing will be cryo treated. I really wanna get a pfc thanks for the info

That makes a world of a difference. Yeah then set it up with a good system thats on the lower end and call it a day since you wont need too much flexibility in the tune as it wont be street driven. At the shop they had a 5.0 track Mustang running of a universal AEM which was dirt cheap and its running some bad ass times.
