Tein S. Techs causing push???

when i drive kinda fast around a corner when wet it jus pushes(yea i know its not the brightest thing)...its doesnt steer..eventually it catches traction. sometimes it happens when dry but not near as much as when it dry.

...but i was also thinkin it might be the tires..i have pirelli HPs...pretty easy to break loose in wet or dry...more wet then dry though...no they arent bald

Usually, if your car is in good mechanical condition, ok tread left on tires, and a striaght frame, understeer is caused by lack of driving skill. Hence the reason i understeer so much. I know that wasn't the answer you were looking for but i hope it helps.

Hahahaha! The most talented drivers and riders I know always had the same advice for me when I complained about push. "Use the brakes." Usually push is an indication too high an entry speed. Neutral handling means just that: neutral. It is equally inclined to push or steer depending on the nut behind the wheel.

Did you upgrade the shocks and struts when you did the springs?

I dont know much about the S Tech's or the gr2's but it seems as if spring rate may be too much for the shock (not sure though, maybe something to check out) There are many other factors: Tire's, Rim width/Tire size, Camber, Toe, shock travel, or maybe your driving style is not on the same page with your car.

Good Luck,
Ted

You will probably just have to relearn your cars new handling characteristics. With stiffer suspension you will not be able to shift the cars weight around like with a stock suspension. Also, it might build your confidence up too high, and you are entering the corners too fast. I say just drive around on it for a week or so and get used to it. It took me about 5 autoX events to learn how to shift my cars weight around to keep from understeering. Hope this helps.

my car started to understeer when I put in my s tech's too.
but I went with kyb agx, which lets me dial in changes from front to rear, which let me correct some of it by softening the front suspension.
Also, you have stiffer springs in the front now, so with normal steering you may experience more understeer.
You also have a stiffer rear though, try feinting and whipping the wheel back. Pull the ebrake, release, hold in the throttle and go to full opposite lock.
works for me....

lol i think he just wanted to know why his car was understeering a bit in the rain... i.e. when he drove 'kinda fast' in a corner. i dont think he wants to drift every single corner on the way to the supermarket
