It might be your upper chain guide. To check if this is the problem, use your handy dandy ratchet and a 10mm socket and use them to remove your valve cover. When you're done with that, you will see the chain and you will also see that there is a piece of metal above the chain.

Now, you take a 12mm socket(I think) and remove the two bolts that are holding that piece of metal down. Here's the tricky part...you now have to take a firm grip of that metal piece you took off(and the bolts) and launch those muthas as far as possible. Just don't hurt anyone...

If you want you can replace the rubber seal for the valve cover. Other than that, just bolt that sucker back on and see if it did the trick.

When loosening and tightening bolts on the valve cover, loosen each bolt slightly to relieve stress evenly; do the same when tightening bolts. Hopefully that does the trick because if it didn't all this typing was for nothing... .

klicking noise - valve tap (normal) or chain hitting the guide (guide should be removed).

shaking - either ground is bad or you gotta adjust your idle control.

maybe on that old piece of crap 5mge that you have. However on the KA24 that is not the problem. I think you should just go somewhere else, like a deep black hole or something

Oh no, the nissan had a recall on the chain guides, so now if there is anything weird happening to your car you have to blame it all on the guides braking, rebuild the engine, or better yet throw it away cuz its "a truck engine that can't rev high unless turboed". bull****.

if you had any brains in your stupid 15 year old head (if you have one) you maybe coulda considered the possibility that the chain guides were already removed you dumbfuck. There are several things that can cause this, and while broken chain guides is a possibility, i've only heard of 1 car so far that had problems with it.

I'm reading your bullcrap for just one day, and i'm prety tired already. How about you stfu and go do your 5mge swap? Maybe when u finally decide your car is ****ed up already and trash it, you'll leave this board. That would be awesome.
