well my gas gauge reads way below E. im pretty sure the sending unit is bad. i read somewhere you can jsut ground a wire to the chassis and that fixxes the problem without changing the unit. i havent ohmed the unit yet.

Make sure the floater isn't stuck on anything in the tank.

There's also the possibility the needle on the cluster took a dump. My speedometer just decided to stop working one day, swapped out the parts with another cluster, good to go
