Holly shit son! This is crazy sick. I absolutely love the vk56! Specs on everything? How does it feel? Approximate cost? Wheels and paint and you have yourself a fu*king sick car.

Yeah... Reason why I didn't do this swap is because of the added fab work to make it fit. Great to see someone bite the bullet on this though, GLWB. (well the rebuild I guess I should say.)

does it really matter ? its a 240sx with a sick swap, i dont care who did it, i wanna know how it performs and how i can do it lol regardless if he is a advert whore or not, he aint gonna get MUCH attention with one post, now if he was selling it and wasnt paying advert fees i would agree. any is vk aluminum or iron block ? how heavy is motor compared to iron ka ? i know a ls aluminum and light as hell, also proven to not need ton of fab like he is saying

ya definately took a lot of fab work but it is all alluminum the vk engine and tranny together is lighter than the ka engine and tranny, i dont remember by how much it wasnt a ton somewhere between like 50-80lbs. im gonna run it at the track this spring so i dont have any times yet but i want to guess with everything stock its gonna run around mid-low 12s, oh and thanks everyone for all of the interest shown in my car

Wow thats pretty hard to believe. How much does a vk drop out usually sell for? Thats something ive always been interested in but never looked into. Ive always wondered how the vk swap compares price and power wise to an lsX swap

The cheapest I've found would be around $1300. I've seen them go all the way up to around 4 grand. Compared the LSX swaps, it would be harder due the amount of fabrication involved with getting it work. There's decent aftermarket support for the LSX, next to none for the VK.

Interested to see updates on this. You bought the car already swapped, right? Intake, mounts, trans tunnel were already made/modified. I saw on another forum that the project was sold...are you the dude who bought it?
