Heater Core Question

Hey guys,

I'm currently swapping my s15 sr into my s14, and everything has gone fine. But one question. I am looking at these Carisma S14 SR20DET Swap Conversion Heater Hose Set LLC for the heater hoses and they say remove the bypass valve in order to install it. Does that mean that the heat will always be set to full hot inside the car?

Let me know if you guys have any suggestions.

Thanks,
Marcel

Yeah on the early S14's there will be coolant going through the core all the time. The blend door will be closed. But it is far from ideal.

If you still have the hoses from the firewall to the bypass assembly I don't see why you would need this kit. I have a late model where the bypass is internal so the fitting is just a plastic bung. I left it and the bracket installed. When I installed the S14SR the connectors were about 4" away and I just hacked down the stock heater hose. The bend is only 45".
