Door lock replacement troubles

I'm trying to replace the door lock cylinder on my S14,
everything was going fine but when I looked at the original door lock cylinder vs replacement cylinder,
the original cylinder had a sort of extension bracket with a hole in it to bolt to the door handle.

The replacement cylinder didn't come with it, I tried to take apart the original cylinder but it doesn't look like it was meant to be taken apart?

thanks.

For now I've just super glued it in

everything on the lock cylinder is able to be disassembled. Are you sure you have the correct replacement lock cylinder?

Well it was provided by the previous owner. The keys it came with were Nissan, and when I looked up the part on Rockwell Auto, it looked exactly the same.
