clutch pedal assembly?

I am trying to assemble this s14 clutch pedal but this thing is being a B!#$H. The pedal will only be all the way up or all the way down because of the spring pressure. First question is this normal and will act normal as soon as I fill the clutch cylinder reservoir and properly install the line? Is the spring installed in the correctposition?

yeah thats normal once you get the clutch master and slave hooked up and bled it will be fine. there always normally like that when there disconnected. thats why you can push the rod out of the slave if you push on the pedal when the slaves not bolted onto the tranny.
