Angry another ****ING problem

so ever since ive had my sr its been a bitch to get into reverse. and sometimes a bitch to get into 2nd. i just went out to get in my car and go to sonic for food b4 work and i CANT get the car in reverse. i mean really i tried all the tricks so dont ask. it took an act of god to get it into 1st. if i slam it to try and get it into reverse i get that god awful grining noise. also, i noticed that my clutch pedal has no resistance to it till its half way down now. i checked the oil level for the clutch and its fine. i also noticed i can see/smell the tranny leaking someof its fluid out the back of the tranny. not a constant stream or anything but you can see a drop formed back there. i didnt watch to see if the drop fell, but it was jsut a doplet sitting there on the edge. WTF. i need to get to work. whats up now!?

I had this problem on my 240 after installing a new clutch. what I had to do was rebleed the clutch line. Also on the ka trany there is a little box that the clutch line goes into. I am not sure what it does so I tried removing it to see if it would help... it did. all my problems were gone. after this I search for why the bypassing of a stock part would do this and found that it has a tendancy to trap air that can not be removed. By the way if it wont go into gear turn the car off and put it into gear and then turn it back on. you can also double clutch to get more pressure in the line. hope this helps.

The slave cylinder bolts to the passenger side of the bellhousing. Its probably leaking and dripping off the bellhousing, making you think the tranny is leaking.

Its been about a year and a half. but if I remember correctly it was on the passenger side of the tranny, on the bottom. it removed with just 2 bolts and the line was able to reach to were it pluged in. the box was rughly 2-3inches long and about 1in wide. it was a pretty streight forward process. I believe that I saw a wright up on it on 240sx.org I'll check it out and see what I can come up with.
