I dont know if this sound is normal or not but recently I just noticed that when I shift under heavy throtle it is followed almost at the same time by a kind of swoosh click type sound. Almost like air is being released. Anybody have any idea what it is?

Tell more info on the car. Is it a ka24de, ka24e? If it is KA-DE, then I think I know what you are talking about, cause mine does that sometimes. It sounds almost like a fan or something is spinning. But it only does it when I am driving, so it is hard to tell where it is actually coming from.

I have a 95 240sx so its the KA24DE. Yah it almost does sound like a fan I can only hear it sometimes when I am driving so I have no idea where to even look for where the sound is coming from.
