Need Transmission Help!

Hi Everyone,

I recently swapped out my throw out bearing in my 91 240sx, I had a Spec stage 3 clutch with the Spec throw out bearing that came with it and a resurfaced flywheel. The Spec throw out was no good, was making lots of noise and would go away when I would press down on the clutch. So I ordered a OEM one from Nissan and put it in. I also realized at the time of the Spec clutch swap I had used GL-5 Gear oil instead of GL-4, when I drained it, the oil stank.

After putting in the OEM TOB, I was only able to find 75w-140 GL-4 Gear oil and put that in. Put everything back together started the car up, TOB noise was gone, but a new whirring screeching noise started up as I pressed down on the clutch, also the rpms dropped pretty hard when I pressed on the clutch. Drove it around the neighborhood, the shifting was much much smoother than before, but the noises were still there.

It was getting late so I decided to call it a night and as I was pulling the car out of the driveway in reverse to park the other cars, the car stalled hard, I restarted the car and noticed a drop in pressure on the clutch pedal, and the noises were still there even in neutral so I shut the car off and rolled it up the driveway.

I don't know whats the cause of this or if anyone else has experienced this, any help would be great, I plan on taking down the transmission again and reinspecting what we did. Could it be the gear oil? I read that I should be using 75w-90 GL-4 gear oil. Maybe I put the TOB backwards? could that cause this? I applied some lithium based grease around the input shaft, could it be that?
