Brake lights/ Running lights Oddity

Got a bit of a wierd problem with my taillights. I've noticed my buddies coupe does the same thing. When you hit the brake lights, one of the bulbs on the other side go out. Let go of the brakes, it comes back on. Whats wierd is his happens on the left side, mine on the right.

I've replaced every bulb in an attempt to see if somehow the wiring was in series, but that didn't work. Anyone off the top of their head have this same problem? I always have people tell me a brake light is out, but its really not, its just "half" out.

Very common on the coupes, and on most 93-95 Altimas too. Take the rear housing out and clean all the contacts real well, and double check the grounds that are secured to the panel. That should fix it.

Will do. I recall cleaning the contacts when I replaced all the bulbs, did a quick visual on the grounds, but i'll look into that further. Thanks.

Its just funny, every coupe I see pretty much has this problem.
