OBDII compliant? *pic*
I think my car is OBDII compliant, but I'm making this thread just to double check. My car is a 1995 240SX and its going back and forth on many forums saying that is or it is not. Then I read some where that there is suppose to be a connector inside the car where the inspector hooks up some OBD 2 machine and runs a test. Anyways I snapped a quick pic today of what I think is this connector. Can anyone confirm this or tell me what is it?

yes thats the OBD 2 conector but still some 1/2 of 95's have it and are not OBD2 so look at ur O2 sensor thats on the exhust manifoild .. if it has 1 conector wire its OBD1 if it has 3 wire conector its OBD2
thats an easy way to know .....my car is a 96 and i have both plugs and i can read some codes with the OBD2 scanner and most of all with the nissan consult scanner... laters |

All '95s are partially OBD-II compliant...they all have the OBD-II plug for the scanner, but NONE of them have a 3-wire O2.
They are not OBD-I, nor are they fully OBD-II... Later - Brian |

That's WEIRD...
so that means the emissions inspector can not use some OBDII machine on my car? What does this mean if I decide to go for a SR swap or KA-T? will my car still function right? <-- aware of some risk, but still a clueless newbie

If your car is a 95 then dont worry about OBD... it only matters for 96+ (as far as I know) becus the 96+ they plug into it to get your emmisions... If your preeeee 96 then they make you hop on the dynojet and stick a pipe up your tail...
OBDI means you can fuk with your car more... ![]() EDIT: Spelling
