well since they already don't label food to make people aware that a major portion of what you eat has been genetically modified, i wouldn't be surprised if this starts slipping in to supermarkets, once the cost is reduced.

Idk about the Japanese (they are just weird, and already have restaurants serving ppl poop),
but good luck with this working anywhere else in the world where there isn't starvation. nobody else is going to put up with such a disgrace of eating poop. it's a commendable effort, but ultimately impractical. |

Would i eat it? Fuck no, not if I can help it. If tomorrow the planet gets hit by a fucking asteroid and wipes out all the plants and animals off the planet, then I might just consider it in a couple of months after eating human carcasses. I'd eat you first before I eat your poop. |

As per the article, it's not an affordable alternative. There are a lot more readily available sources of nutrition, such as insects. The rest of the world may have it's own issues, and I can honestly care less. Most of us live in a place where meat & veggies are readily available. We don't have any practical reason to seek out a higher cost alternative. We don't have any reason degrade ourselves to such lows. It is also impractical to consider the doomsday scenarios you so mentioned. But hey, if you're so inclined, don't let me get in the way of you eating shit & enjoying your 'end of the world' delusions. |
