Whats up peoples. heading to kauai for vacation in two weeks and was wondering if anyone on here is from there or lives there or can give some insight. im staying at the north shore off the island. any tips, info is appreciated.

hows society over there? i've never been to hawaii and just have this idea of no businesses and just hippies and beaches.

We stay in Poipu whenever we go. If we can, once a year but it has gotten tougher with a 2 year old now. But we took her with us last summer. Hiking on the North Shore is our favorite thing to do there. We were going to Maui this year, but decided to pay off the credit card instead since our other friends didn't look like they were able to meet us out there.

That's funny I'm going 5/8-5/13, staying in North Shore too lol. Was gonna do the Kipu Ranch ATV trip but my gf's scared she'll fall off if I try to slide ;(. Other than that checking out gardens, snorkeling, and hiking like kog said.

definitely check out the boat excursions that take you to na pali. they stop along the way for dope snorkeling spots and crazy caves.

in between kapaa and anahola there's a dude that has these BBQ BOAR lunch plates. these are a must try . . . promise me.

and explore! you can get from Lihue to Poipu by backroad if you have a good sense of direction.
