no start after battery relocation

so ive recently relocated my battery to the trunk,using 2 gauge positive and 4 gauge ground. and this problem started happening.. what it does is the starter clicks and all dash light dim down as if the battery were dead ,but i had the battery recharged and checked to see if it was bad and everything was ok..
(i know the engine isnt seized also because it will start on a push start)

so here my set up

the positive cable runs from the battery to the starter, than from the starter goes in to the fuse box.

for grounds i have to one from the intake mani to the shock tower and another from the battery to were the rear seat belt buckle used to be ..

i recently tried to see if it wasnt getting a solid ground so i stripped paint off in that are and still same issue . also check voltage and its a steady 13+v also when the car is idle the battery is charging..because it gets up to about 14v

ive searched a few different forums and even looked on google but ive come up short handed any feed back will help

you need a bigger cable, i ran 0 gauge for mine, and had few problems. also you need a direct source from your alternator. I had a block on mine at the firewall, one cable went to the fuse panel, one to starter.

Yea try a bigger cable. What I did for mine was run the positive cable thur my firewall n right back to where the battery would normally be connected, not directly to the starter. As for the ground I sanded off the paint from where the spare wheel would be bolted down to n grounded it there. Hope this helps.

I ran a 0 gauge wire to the OEM + terminal in the engine bay, and tucked everything away, then i grounded the battery to the trunk pop bracing (sanded to bare metal)

works perfect..

also, you need AS LARGE a ground as the positive, why would you downsize the ground? that makes no sense. the electrical system is only as efficient as its smallest point..

clean your batt terminals? or loose ground maybe?

your cables are way too small. For something like this, over kill is barely enough. 0 gauge will work just fine. Just make sure its fine strand, vs heavy duty powerline cable. The rite way to relocate would be to run your possitive from your battery to your starter, run the oem positives to the same place on the starter (all 3 of them). Then run your battery negative all the way back to the front where it grounds to the intake manifold. Then from there ground it to the chassis as well. You can over kill the grounds but make sure every one that touches the motor or chassis is touching bare metal. Then bolt it down and paint over it to seal the metal again. What youve done is going to cause a fire. Thats too much for little wire.

More Grounds, 2-3 grounds off the engine and 2 grounds off the battery

shock tower is usually not the best seeing that its not really connected to the chassis.
