Clutch Install

Well. . I've never had a clutch installed on either of my 240s, and I don't intend to do it myself. I have all the parts needed, but may need flywheel resurfaced . .

Anyone have this done, and how much did it cost in labor?

Hmmm....

We have recently moved into a new, much larger shop and are in the process of finishing up our showroom. And we have NOTHING to do with Santeca. Santeca took a nose dive after their "tuner" fucked up a bunch of cars now they are back to just selling HID. Which we aren't even dealers for at this point in an attempt to keep people from associating my shop with them.

Anywho! We charge 350.00 for a clutch/flywheel install in a 240SX. This price includes flywheel resurfacing and fluids.

We are now located at 8253 Indy Lane on the west site of Indy. Our number is "temporarily" 317-891-8552. We'll have a new number in two weeks when SBC finds the time to hook us up.. *bastards* lol.

Thanks for the good works Jason, how's the KA holding up to the turbo? You should come buy and check out the new shop, we are planning our re-opening the weekend of the fifth, hopefully. Got a bunch of Power Enterprise parts, HPI, ARC, JIC, etc.. and we have a bunch of stuff on the way. We're actually going to be keeping SR's in stock.

350 isn't bad. . but did I mention I'm friends with Shawn at AFS? lol

My problem is finding a decent mechanic. . the one I trusted for so long has lost his touch, and there's nothing but mullet-machine speed shops, and domestic dealerships to get it repaired it.

I'd rather take it to Indy, to someone that has experience with my exact car, ya know?

Thanks!

I'll definitely have to stop by, but my car is going in the garage for winter so i might pull up in a old 1990 nissan Stanza with a "I heart Drifting" sticker on the bumper

the car is doing good with the turbo, but im craving more boost so ill need to do a rebuild shortly. I'll stop by during my break

if you have basic knowledge of hand tools you can do it yourself in a weekend, one full day of work on jackstands.
I did mine myself and I thought it was easy.

i thought it was easy too, until you have to put the bastard back in and it falls off the transmision jack and smashes your hand... or when you get all stinky after you just bearhugged a tranny for the past 2 hours

yeah you should use a transmission jack or at least a couple floor jacks and a cradle to support the tranny. its hard to get it back on the splines otherwise.
something that makes it a lot easier is to get some longer bolts and nuts. line up the tranmission and use the longer nuts on a few holes. start tightening them down. this will pull the tranmission on the splines. then put the factory bolts in the other holes and tighten them down, take the long ones out and replace them with factory bolts.
saves the pain in the ass of getting it back on, and keeps it from falling on you while you line it all up.
