95 s14 vs 96?
so apparently theres differences between the 2?
i got a throttle body/tps for my 95 s14 off a 96 s14 and the tps is completely different? first it has 2 plugs instead of the 1 and second the rod that connects the throttle body to the tps is completely different as well. now for the question. how the hell do i make this work? i'm replacing parts trying to chase down a bogging issue and after this all thats left is maf which im waiting to be delivered. |

im using a tps that has 1 connection, my harness has 2 connectors,so im only using one, still runs........doesnt seem to be an issue or check engine light on it or from the obdII scanner.not sure on the rod issue. but yes, the 96 is really really close to kouki97-98 wiring

my car was originally an auto and so its got 2 plugs but one does not hook up.
the "new" throttle body has 2 spots to get plugged into and none of my connecters even plug into that. so im trying to figure how or if i even can wire it up to work. |

i see, you might have to use a new clip and re pin it , or just re wire it, the colors should be the same, power, ground, signal. if you have the proper clip..mhhhh so im assuming your old TPS was bad, thats why you replaced it, what if it wasnt bad??? you should try and post a pic of your harness clips, and the TPS clips to see if anybody here can help further, pics help.

Obd1 and obd2. The obd2 have 2 plugs. One is for when u do timing. The obd1 only need one and when u gonna do ignition timing on that u jump the diagnostic box.
(I'm kinda drunk right now.... So I might be talking bout totally something else... Haha) |
