FrontMount I/C question: 98 240SX-SR20DET with a Greddy 2g Eclipse FMIC

Second post--

I have a Big Greddy FMIC from a Second Generation Eclipse and considering that i am about to purchase a 98' 240SX and do an SR20DEt sawp; I was curious to find out if this Intercooler exchange is even remotly possible.

I know that i would have to make custom Intercooler piping but I just wanted to see if it has been done before or even thought about.

Bottom line: Will a Big GReddy FMIC for a 2g Eclipse fit and work in a 98' 240sx with a stock bumper?!!!?!!?

You'll need to cut some of the bumper support or remove it entirely. Look at the specs for the FMIC kits that are sold for S14 SR20DET and compare the dimensions to the FMIC that you are planning on using.

This would be if you can even plumb it correctly to begin with. The core is usable, but I'm pretty sure the kits not considering the engines are mounted differently (eclipses are longitudinal/east-west, 240s are latidunal/north-south) mounted engine, and the intake and tb are located in totally different places.

you shouldnt have any trouble fitting the intercooler, of course if its a KIT, the pipes are pretty much useless
