What turbo is this ? ? ? ?
Hey Guys, I Just bought a new GT25 Turbo, and Im confused on what size it is. I know I just confused you, just let me explain. The turbo’s product # is 705330-0002 and everywhere on goggle says that it is a .70 A/R with a .86 turbine, but mine says .50 A/R with a .86 turbine side. It has been bugging me. I asked my friend and he said that it was a 70A/R since it was in decimals??? I don’t know what I have now, am I just missing something obvious? I am guessing it is a 2840, and not a strait up t04. Maybe I am way off I just have not asked anyone else other then my friend that was talking about decimals. This might confuse you, but I bought the turbo from a guy that bought it for a WRX, and the guys that he bought it from send him the wrong turbo, so he did not even know the flange size, and just gave dimensions to the hundredths place. He gave the part number, and when I typed it in, all I got was sr20det applications, which are good, but the only compressor A/R says 50. AHHHHH! ! ! What the hell is it! The rated hp for the supposed turbo is 440 and a max of 500, so if it is a 2840 I’m guessing it is good for 350? 350hp not bad either I just cant stand not knowing what it is. The turbo itself is great, I can blow on it and the blades spin, or I can hold the turbo horizontally and twist it and the blades stay where they are, if you understand what I’m talking. Here are a bunch of pictures, please help me out so I can get sleep at night.

Thanks Jeff, I had to clock the turbo when I got it, but I dont know about taking the whole compressor housing off. I dont want to screw up any sort of balancing, if that could screw things up?
