NJ 1995 240sx Zenki For Sale

Im looking to sell my 1995 240sx - it just hit 100k miles on it - its definitely a little bit of a fixer upper or maybe even for parts - it runs great, 100% stock KA never modified, never had to do engine work at all actually. I bought this car like 6 years ago with 47k with a salvage title, a shop picked it up and fixed the damage which was in the left rear quarter panel (if you look closely in the trunk to the side you can see roughly where they repaired, they did a good job i never had any problems from it). I drove it all the way up until august when i bought an is300 - ive been holding on to it hoping to restore it - oh yeah it has some front end damage where i bumped into someone, i drove it with the minor damage for like a year until the hood latch broke on me and opened and cracked the windshield (yeah im an idiot ) - it was at that point that i parked it and bought the IS. So the headlights are shot (brackets are broken), I got a new CF hood that just needs paint (as you can see in the pic), I have a pair of OEM fog lights... I was planning on buying new headlights and a windshield and getting it back on the road but i need cash and just want to sell it before it sits any longer.. the inspection is good until like march - I have it insured and on the road now, hasnt been driven in like 2 months but its runs and drives great. Paint is like 6.5/10, it has some rough spots but its not like peeling or anything crazy - It has black leather interior, the drivers seat has a tear on the base but the passenger and rear are fine - its missing the center console radio bezel but the rest of the dash is fine. Oh and the headrests had tv's in them so they need to be repaired/replaced, i put those in when i first got it

I really dont know what its worth, i know its gotta be worth atleast 1000, i paid 250 for the hood and 75 for the foglights so i mean, parts alone and all... i would be really happy to get 1500 for it - id like to hear from the community on what they think its worth - not trying to rip anyone off just want fair market value.

Forgot to say: Its an automatic.

It has new tires with 80% tread on them.

Also the sunroof doesnt work, it worked like 70% for years than when the hood opened up on me the impact cracked the hinges.. the structure is fine just seems like the shock from it - Ii was going to just seal it shut and leave it like that. The headliner is fine and everything.

Also the motor makes this like light suctiony click sound - its done it for years, maybe getting slightly louder over time, i never had it checked out because its ran fine.. i really dont think its anything too serious, maybe like a valve adjustment or something- but im not really knowledgeable enough to say for sure.


Price is $1500 OBO make me an offer, id like at least 1000

I know the car has a salvaged title and needs some work, but you shouldn't have a problem getting $1500 for it. That's a good deal.

^ thanks s13drifta - Noones come to look yet so this is still available - forgot to mention its an automatic, I started it up and moved it around - it does have a slight suctiony sound in the motor i forgot about, its had it for a long time i don't think its anything serious prob just needs a tune-up, like i said I've never touched the motor on it other than bringing it in for oil changes.. I'm not much of a mechanic - based on response I'm looking for 1500obo, if someone comes and makes me an offer ill probably take it just to be done with it i gotta get it moved out of my bros driveway asap!

vw203 - im actually not sure what the difference is between salvage and salvage-rebuilt - i bought it in 2005 from new hampshire (it had 47k at the time and i had to have it so i got a ride up and drove it back), to get it on the road in NJ I ended up having to go to the main dmv in trenton and have them do robust tests on it in order to register it and get it on the road, so im pretty sure its salvage-rebuilt.. its not like it was just wrecked or anything like that. If i could register and drive it in NJ i feel like itll pass anywhere haha.

-- update on this i found the title, it says under status S for salvage.. but in the little key there is only a definition for -S salvage (theres like P-police, T-Taxi, S-Salvage, F-Flood ect), nothing about rebuilt, so i duno how that works or if i guess theres only one categorization in NJ

The IS is nice - I love the body style of it, I got pretty lucky and found an 04 with 28k on it and only one owner so I had no choice but to grab it haha.. The gas mileage kinda sucks, and I took it out in the snow and forget it, even with new tires it was literally impossible to drive.. and it doesnt slide at like the 240 - the 240 i would take out on snowy streets and just slide around turns all day and it was amazing. I was hoping with the RWD and all it would have a little slide to it, but no car really handles like the 240 - but that aside, overall im really happy with the IS... its just so damn clean!

I got the same 240sx recently from auto auction in New Jersey (more info), it had 68,000 mileage but it also was a salvage car. It had a front end damage so I had to do some repairs of course., but still it turned out to be much cheaper than buying the same new car.
