Tranny fan?? As in someone who likes Rupaul??

It could be the mechanical clutch fan that cools the motor. It makes the 240sx sound like a damn Jeep Cherokee when it accelerates in low gear. You could always remove this and add dual electric fans....aftermarket...or...I hear certain Altima fans are upgrades for the 240sx.

pretty sure its your clutch fan, try this li'l test try to spin the fan with your finger if it moves a couple of inches then it's not the fan, if its hard to turn by hand then the fan is stuck and you should replace it because it can mess up your water pump since the fan is connected to it, i hear.

anyway its easy to replace and about $150 from courtesy nissan or some other online store, i replaced mine on my Z32 without disconnecting any hoses to the radiator i just removed the top fan shroud and removwed the 4 bolts then replaced it, i think u can get it fom the bottom fan shroud also. should take a half hour max.

Could be a bad wheel bearing in the back. Try changing your LSD and transmission fluid and see if that helps.
