sr20 wonders
well i was just curious on wat things i shud look for when buying an sr off a local person? pretty much he got motor droped it in then never wired it up or started it cause he got into drag racing. the motor he has came from jdm engines. advice on shud i look for? he also had motor for a year covered up outside in car.

there are a million threads on this exact question go to the top of the page to the search bar and get to work or if you simply browse and skim the reviews threads I am sure you will find the info you seek
some key things would be compression numbers, inspect everything thoroughly do a leak down on it, pull the valve cover off inspect the rockers and the cams look for any scoring ext. |

There are reasons why he didn't start it up, like a poorly done or messed up wiring, or wrong timing.
Anyway the lesson here is never ever! buy some unfinished project, you might shell out more than what you are willing to pay for later on. |
