Im running a map sensor on my S13 SR20 and am wondering if I can delete the iacv tube off the cold pipe and just put one of these filter/breather on the iacv?

Is the iacv like a check valve so air will not flow out of it under boost?

Any help would be mucho appreciato!

No it's not. Completely delete it with a plate or cap it off temporarily.
Where's your map sensor located?

im also wondering if i can just run it without connecting to the cold pipe. its going to be a daily driven car so reliability is an issue. i'll be running a map sensor with AEM EMS..

cap the intercooler fitting and delete the IAC itself with a delete plate.

the IAC needs to read incoming air (through and IC pipe) not an open breather

ok. and just adjust the idle at the throttle body and the EMS?

your AEM with have a cold start/warm start tuning table.

as we are on this topic and without need to start a new thread ( sorry for the threadjack OP ) is this option viable with a PowerFC on a MAP setup ?

I would like to know more info as well I dont have my iacv plugged in. I idle at around 1300 I just have it there not connected.(power fc d jetro)

You can run map sensor on anything, even stock ecu. It's called speed density.

map sensor is an option on power FC as well.

You need a piggyback or standalone to run speed density. Stock ECU doesn't support it by itself.

You are correct, my example was off. My wording was meant you can run map on any form of piggy back it doesn't have to be a full standalone.
