![]() I have a 98 black top sr20det swap in a s13. I went to fix a tire the other day and notice when i shook the front end down the whole rack had play and it's not coming from the bushings. I also have no power steering hooked up. Any other advice? Maybe a manual rack or anyone selling one?

The power steering rack can wear out quickly if you disconnect it. I ran like that for awhile and then eventually the rack started to skip when turning.. Not safe. I got a new rack and hooked up the lines and it's much better than no p/s if you drive on the street at all.

Your rack is Completly blown now... Get a new or rebuilt one and upgrade your bushing and your good to good... Now expensive either rack is about $250 an the bushing are about 30 bucks
