You're getting white smoke from the exhaust or from the engine bay? White is generally coolant burning. Did you compression check your motor and make sure it was in good health before you put on the kit? Could potentially be a headgasket. Are you running a coolant setup on your turbo or just oil? That could be your coolant burning problem. Also, buy an intercooler asap. High intake temperatures is a big part of detonation. As for hearing a spool, with a t25 on a ka you should be at full spool by like 2800 rpm. I guess you have no bov? You should atleast get surge just free revving the motor. You don't have a reason to be nervous aslong as you have a wideband. If you don't, just stop doing what you're doing. Either way a T25 isn't gonna suck the guts out of your Ka. Just find out where the smoke is coming from.
