i just got this set up for my car and i am gonna install them on sat...i took a look at my stock shocks and i noticed that the dust boots are pretty messed up....i called up the dealership and they sell the fronts for $26 each and the rear for $52 each....thats kinda pricey....i called kragen and they only carry the front and those go for $16 each...i was wondering if i really needed them on my car or can i go without....also if i really do need them does anyone know where they carry the whole set for a decent price...or i can somehow bring the ones i have back to life....if anyone can help please tell me~!!

pretty sure www.tirerack.com sells the boots for a reasonable price. I believe thats where i got mine when i did my suspension.

Yes, you should use the boots. Just call up all the auto part stores in your area and shop around. As for the internet I'd look at tirerack like 240Driver39 suggested.

Definitely get new boots. The boots protect the strut/shock rod from dust getting in there and eating away at the seals. And once the seals go....bye bye suspension!! I did the exact same set up you have, and I picked up my boots through the dealer(front) and KYB website(rear). Check them out. You should also get new pillow mounts both front and back!! Get these through KYB too. They're basically stock replacements as far as performance but it's much better to get the whole thing new right off the bat. Also look into getting new washers for all 4 wheels. I mean the big pink washer that fits on right between your frame and the shock/strut assembly. You can see it in the fronts when you pop the hood and look at the mounting bolts. Nissan has em for a fair price (10.00 a piece I think).

All in all a little more money but well worth it. That way you won't have to go back in there later and pull all the struts out again to replace worn pillow mounts, washers, etc.

p.s. One other thing make sure you at least get front camber correction bolts BEFORE you do the install. Basically it's one bolt per side replacing the top of the two bolts. I got mine from enjukuracing.com for 25.00 bucks. Money well spent considering I don't want to go through tires every year. The backs should end up at a 2 degrees negative on stock adjusting parts. Not bad but you will notice a little inner tire wear. Oddly enough 2 degrees neg. is the Nissan factory camber spec!! Wierd.

i highly doubt that bro. plus the worst part of the 2 degrees negative camber(IMO) is not tire wear, it's understeer.

The KYB website has all the part numbers you need. Here check this out:

There's a downloadable catalog that will have all the part numbers plus pics. You might need to download the Adobe Acrobat also if you don't have it already. The downloaded file is a .zip file. Extract it and run the install, presto!!

I'd list all the part numbers here but that would take too long.

I didnt need the front camber bolts when I installed mine. They were able to get it back to factory spec when I did an alignment.

Here's the interesting thing. If your car is lowered, the factory specs don't necessarily mean your car will get exactly within the tolerance for a good alignment. Haveing a 2" drop on your car dramatically changes your "standard" specs. So factory specs probably wouldn't apply. The other thing to remember is that if your car's been in an accident in it's life the front or back end probably aren't perfectly straight, so that throws you off a little too.

what are you talking about? please explain yourself in detail cause it doesnt make any sense to me. 1 degree of camber is the same whether your car is stock or lowered. Same with toe and caster. So if you they are put back to factory specs, what would be wrong with your alignment..aside from bump steer.

suspension geometry would be different, so the car would handle differently because of the different loads to the susp. components. toe and camber is only a part of what suspension is about.
