turbo reinstall

Hey all, I'm still kind of a newb with alot of the technical aspects but I'd like to learn and gather advice so here goes:
I bought a 95 240 with a sr20det blacktop motor installed with a greddy intercooler, a garret gt30 turbo and a cheap exhaust manifold. The engine was never tuned properly so after driving it for about a year, it stopped running. after some troubleshooting i found the maf was not working properly and also the turbo looks to be blown. So now I'm trying to decide where to go from here. I'm thinking of getting a smaller turbo to fit my driving style and HP goal of 320-350. Basically I'm looking for any advice on what kind of a turbo setup to get. $ is not a problem.

GT2871R for a comfortable 320 to 350ish power band. Get a MAP ECU tune. Stick with a bottom mount manifold. You'll be fine. Start with the popular websites. FRsport, Enjuku, ect. Good luck with the build.

2871 all the way. i just pulled mine off, and even though i only ran it at wastegate boost, it was quick, with a lot of potential. perfect turbo for these motors. you can find a few used on here in the FS section, including mine. they build boost before 4k, and can get up to about 400hp with cams and fuel.

Get rid of that POS cheap exhaust manifold and get stock one or since $ is not the issue for you, I'd get Fullrace or Mazworx or DOC racing etc manifold. Of course you could get Extrude Honed + External wastegate for stock manifold which I think it would be the best option.

Put 2871r and get Power FC and get good tune.

That's all you need.
