R33 Differential into S14 question

I'm thinking up upgrading my S14 differential to a R33 Differential. Can any one verify that its a direct bold on if I use the 33 axels?

Are any modifications required? I have read that you just have to change the rear cover...I would really appreciate the help. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the info. How strong are the J30 axles though? I'm aiming for about 400 hp. What other diffs would you guys recommend?

also if its a Ligit GT-R and not a GT-S the axles spline for the hubs is larger.

taken apart a R33 and there was a noticeable difference

R32 diff is not a good idea for freeway driving. Final drive sucks and you'll be wasting gas. He's probably using it because it gives him better acceleration.

a 240sx for economy ?

burn as much fuel as possible, cut off as many Prius's as possible. every on-ramp stop-light on the freeway is a test to your reaction time, breaking and acceleration.

R200 diff and axles are known to handle 600hp before you start twisting the axle snout like pretzels.

Like fliprayzin240sx said, 600hp is where they seem to break. 400hp should no problem. My current setup is in the 350hp range and the axles has held up for the past 5yrs with no issues.

Well, torque is what breaks it but the folks I know who were breaking them were running RB25s mated to HX40s. Twisting the damn axle snout into the hubs like they're play dough. When this starts happening, time to go Z32 TT/GTR rear end (R205 diff) , subframe, axles and hubs.
