KA kade cam combo selections

sup guys..lookion to see what stock cam combo are guys runnin..right now im rockin 248x232 on my s14,which has a nice lil pull to redline.i tried the famous 248x248 set up but it drags ass, seems like the accel dies off compared to the stock 232x232..both 248x2 and 248x232 set-up has a sexy ass idle lope though..i did try yesterday 232x248 set up which has a stock feel to it but seemed to me the accel was insane compared to the other set ups i tried..so post what u guys think..

98 s14

im running 248 in 248 ex with the intake advanced 5 degrees

N/A impression: pulls hard like the 232/232 stock plus keeps going to redline up power wise to redline 6800. dynoed 141 whp/146 wtq with intake , header, 2.5 catback exhaust and high flow cat.

turbo impression: s14 t28, 550cc, z32 MAF enthalpy tune. little to no lag . just need to learn to shift precisely and quickly since u redline lightning fast . not dynoed yet.

no lopey idle . idles like stock idle should.

This is my friends set-up:
SOHC pistons
Cometic HG for 10.7:1 compression
248/248 Intake/Exhaust cams
Head port and polished with stock intake and z32 Ferrera valves (about 2mm bigger than stock)
both the block and head were deburred to remove hot spots
clevite rod cap bearings with ARP hardware
new OEM waterpump and oil pump gear
EGR capped
Swirl Control removed
Coolant to TB capped
RSR 3" Catback
New O2 and Temperature sensors
everything else stock, auto ECU

motor has excellent throttle response and is a blast to drive.
we took it to the dyno last night and frankly were a little disappointed
car feels faster than what the numbers state
we are, however, pleased with the shape of the powerband curve

where the hell on your original post did you specify a compression ratio?
but what's the point, seeing as you didn't even know about the timing change needed to make 248 cams work
I doubt this thread will be anything other than just forum clutter

compression is compression, what the hell do the piston type has to do with anything if they withstand the use intended?

the motor above was put together by a friend
SOHC piston compression was actually higher (the head was piruated) and the headgasket thickness chosen to keep the compression under 11.
Reason was because the motor was built to use pump gas and to test a few ideas about NA KAs we had.

you build something worthwhile to justify your shitty attitude and we can talk
but as it stands you just come across as a typical zilvia dumbass
good luck with your phantom build

I'm now running the 240/232 in my 14.
Powerband feels the same but I can feel a slight increase in power/pull. Its a Tad bit more peppy but nothing extravagant.

No bottom end loss or top end gain. Just a nice little what's feels like an increase throughout the entire powerband.
Sadly no dyno plot to back up these findings. But the butt dyno does approve.

I have mine set up as 248 (+5) x 248 (+2.5) havent dynoed yet but feels way better than my previous 248 (+5) x 248 (-2.5). On my previous I made 137hp and 140tq with basic bolt-ons. With the exhaust set as 2.5 advance mid range tq is awesome! Pulls from ~3.5k to ~6.5k then starts to die off.
