... your turbo is on its way out or blown? i hear this wierd sound which leads me to believe its the turbo, i only hear it when im not on the gas thuogh... please tell me its something else...

Sorry, I don't know what a bad turbo sounds like. I know what my good turbo sounds like. It spins and makes a higher pitched sound the faster it spins. If it had a problem and didn't spin smoothly, it would sound funny probably a grinding or clicking noise. If you hear the noise when you're not on the gas, then its not your turbo, because your turbo is not spinning unless your on the gas. Does your boost gauge show boost or vacuum when you hear this noise?

vacuum, so i guess your right, it was just an odd noise i heard yesterday, like a bad bearing, you know that low pitched noise? and it got me worried b/c i just hooked up my bov and i realized when i disconneted my smic that the vacuum line on the stock bov was torn and i had been expiriencing compressor surge...
