ok I'm joking...actually I just wanted to email them and ask what a 5 speed swap would cost. It would make my car go a lot faster I'm guessing, and make it a lot more fun. The only thign is that I have over 2 yeras of warranty left on my car and I don't want to void the whole thing. Maybe they'll let me do the swap and only void transmission stuff. I don't know. I'm not even sure if I want to get it done right now. I was going to pay $500 for exhuast, but maybe I should pay $700 or whatever it would cost and get the swap done. I'll email them now.

Thanks for the link.

How have you been?

good idea, a manaul would make you're car a lot faster than an exhaust system alone

Been busy--getting ready to go do my Christmas shopping right now (it's bad that I have to take a day off work to do it). My parents put new tires on my car for part of my Christmas present---you could feel cords through one of the old ones---driving in the snow a couple weeks ago was actually very, very scary. But other than that, nothing interesting happening here.

How's work going? What's the status of Medal of Honor? I wonder if there's a code somewhere on your car that states it was an auto from the factory. If you swap a factory manual into it, nobody may ever know that it wasn't originally a manual tranny. Does it state anywhere on your warranty about it having an auto tranny? hmmm.....I wonder.......

Work is going great. Medal of Honor: Allied Assault went gold yesterday. 'Going gold' means that we, as the developer, are totally done with the game and its shipped of to be produced....they're burning the cd's, making the boxes, etc... now.

You can download the multiplayer demo, for those of you have broadband at www.fileplanet.com

It's like a 140mb download, but if you have dsl, t1, or cable its well worth it. Nothing like blowing up online nazis.

I don' t know, does anyone here know if my VIN # says I have an auto? I could probably get away with it, but I'm not sure. it all depends on how much the entire swap would cost. If I could get it done for like $750 or less, I would totally go for it.

Yeah. Yay.

I went to a tech/entertainment school in Winter Park (Orlando), FL called Full Sail: Real World Education where I got an Associates of Science in computer animation. I was headed back to FL from Hollywood, CA and stopped in Tulsa, OK where I have family. I applied for an internship at a game development company, I got it...then they hired me 3 weeks later.

yay.

How much do you think the full swap would cost?

Congrats on the game!

I'm pretty darn sure that you can tell if its auto or manual from the VIN. (I had a link to a page that showed how to read vin number and find out all about the car, but I seem to have lost the link ) But chances are the dealership won't notice unless something major goes out in your car.

Chance, you cannot tell if your car is a factory auto or manual tranny from the VIN. But, you can tell what type of tranny is factory on the Model ID plate, located under the hood on the passenger side firewall. If the 7th digit is an F, you have a factory auto tranny. If the 7th digit is an A, you have a factory manual tranny. I just found the file at www.240sx.org under FAQ, then VIN Number Identification. At the bottom, there is a link to click for "Rich Bjornson's killer .pdf document S-14 Model ID.pdf." It takes a while to load sometimes, but it's worth it (at least I think so anyway). I wonder if any mechanic is going to look at the Model ID plate to see if your tranny is factory or not. The things that make ya go hmmmm....
