obx header

I'm going to get new headers, but the fact of the matter is is that i have more things I want to do to my car, and only so much money to do it with. I keep hearing of hotshot and their hefty pricetag. I found an obx head that should do the job for cheap. Previous posts say they are OK, they fall in between hotshot and pacesetter. How can one header be THAT much better than another. I just want something that works.

So how is the obx head and are their any installation problems?

I know that this really wont answer your question. I own 2 240s pressently, on my s13 I dropped well over a thousand dollars for a good exhaust system and I did not feel an overly large power gain. On my new s14 Instead of dropping all that money into exhaust work I dropped it into a turbo and have roughly 50-75 more horse power than an exhaust set up for roughly the same price if not a little less. So my point is watch were your money goes, there may be a better place to put it.

i just got my obx header in today. Imho it is better than the hotshot (for ka24e anyway). This header is built very very nicely and the primaries are designed very well (close to equal length). Buy it, you will not be dissapointed.

btw. the ka24de obx design i do not like as far as primary design is concerned, but i have never seen one in person.

You wanna know how OBX is? It kinda sucks, like when I have to lock posts because idiots post the same exact thing in 2 separate forums. Sucks like that. That means I have to go do work now and not get any enjoyment out of it. Kind of like when you will have to do work replacing it when it cracks, and probably not enjoy it.
Moral of the story:
DON'T POST THE SAME THING IN 2 FORUMS!!

there are two things i got from obx... headers and 10.3mm spark plug wires.... i telll you that the wires fell a part just like that.... it's pretty cheap.... ... but hey... i pretty much like the headers... it's not so bad...

oh yea... no trouble fitting in... it's just that my 13 has aiv and just have to take it off to fit in the headers... and i welded in the aiv ... so... i got no aiv.. but s14 should be a breeze since no aiv. all you have to worry is about rust.
