Battle scars.

Do you have some? My latest one started October 1st. I got hit on my ruckus by a red light runner. Ended up with 3 broken bones (all of with required screws/plate) in my ankle/leg, two broken ribs. Numerous cuts and a total of 28 stitches.

I get the stitches out today. Hopefully they will also clear me to start putting weight on it. What do you guys have

Went to the doctor today. All the stitches are out and here are the X-rays of the screws and plate. Looks like my spare bolts bin!

The really interesting part is that they didn't sew on the other part. It was smooshed in the log splitter, and I yanked my hand out. So whatever was left didn't go to the ER with me. The skin on top of the finger is from my palm. There is a thread about it on here somewhere that explains everything. There are, or were lots of pics throughout the entire ordeal. Surprisingly enough, when there are no nerves left in the tip of your finger, it doesn't hurt nearly as bad as it looks like it should. FF to today though, and if you've ever stuck your finger in hot wax before, and allowed it to cool. Keep the wax on there once it hardens, and that's how my finger feels today.

Edit, I was working all day. That nasty shit on my nails is from stripping/re-waxing the floors at work today.

holy fuck yall!
i was pretty much run over by a semi, fractured pelvis in 2 places (now have
a metal plate & screw there, they had to give me a c-section!) and cracked a rib, punctured a lung. all good now, and i just checked my bank statement and

25k tax free from my life insurance program for being traumatically injured.
no photos of xrays and i barely have scars but heres my bike and gear

not as cool of a story, fell off my bike in manhattan, front wheel slipped on some gravel going up onto a curb... my ring and middle finger on my right hand broke off, had 0 control over them and was able to twist them - wickedly shitty... all betterish now though!

what was sweet was running out of painkillers on the day I had to get those pins removed.... they used pliars to take those pins out of my hand... surgeon sat me down on the bed put my hand on the table and said this... is going to feel uncomfortable, it was, especially when the bottle of peroxide was dumped on my hand
