is there a way to tell whether the car has the viscuous LSD or not? i know it was an option on the SEs but is there a way to tell from the outside whether it is equipped or not?

Orange 'Viscous LSD' on the side of it. Mahy be covered in dirt.

spin the shafts. turn in same direction=lsd, turn in opposite direction =non lsd

as long as you keep the drive shaft flange from rotating.
