power steering question

my power steering has gone through 2 fillups in the last month. I am debated on taking it out or getting a new one. I am going to take it out this weekend and see how i like it. Does anyone run without one and how do they like? Any opinion would be awseome.

Driving without power steering is not as bad as everyone thinks. I did it for 3 months. Parking is a whore though. Much better road feel but I find it harder to drift with(my attemps at drifting). Grip driving is much nicer though. Its really a personal preference. Take off the belt and try it. Otherwise check the entire system out on a hoist.

I drive without it, and do some ametuer "drifting" and I don't mind it at all, if you are going to drive without it either take the system out or drain the rack fully, it makes lower speed driving much easier. It isn't really noticeable at higher speeds. There have been a couple other posts about this, you could prolly turn up some more info searching. I can't remember how long ago they were.

I LOVE POWER STEERING!!! if your a race junkie, then i guess it would be okay for you to remove it, since itll shave off weight and improve road feel...HOWEVER... if you commute your car like me... power steering is a necessity when at a stand still turn... god how i hated parking the car... THE HORROR!!!
