i'm an idiot ... brembo + greenstuff q's

never did my own brakes before... i want to get brembo blanks (prob off nopi) and greenstuff EBC pads. i'm looking at these pads on tirerack.com and they only have front fitment? also it says 'axle set' ... i'm guessing that means they come in sets of 2, right? where the hell are the pads for the rear? can u use the front pads for the rear? it seems the other brands have seperate pads for front and rear so i would guess no. i haven't found the ebc pads on any other website. ergh...

q#1 so where can i get ebc pads for all four corners
q#2 axle set = per axle = 2 pads per set
q#3 any1 run this combination b4? is it okay? trying to get my car in shape for some track events (just autox and drift)

1. not sure, why are you set on EBC?
2. axle set = 4 pads total, 2 for each side
3. i have brembo blanks and hawks, haven't done any autoX yet but it's great on the street.

2 weeks ago I ordered SS lines all around, front Hawk HPS pads, and speed bleeders from SPL. I took them to the track on monday for a drift event and had no problem stopping even though they are street pads on my stock calipers. I was using Dot 4 brake fluid and I resurfaced my rotors before installing the pads. Shit worked great. SPL has other Hawk pads depending on what temp rating you want.

aiya thank you so much. hmm glad i asked here first. the 'front fitment' info + my own dumbness confused the hell out of me on tirerack. me and a few friends are testing out different pads; each of us are getting a different brand on brembo blanks based on reviews we've read here and there. i pulled the straw for ebcs. thanks again. ^_^

The cops have stopped me for stopping too quick( pretty crazy right?)

@_@ oro. now im confused again. there's no such thing as ebc greenstuff pads for all four corners then? i'm not so confident about running different company pads front and rear - that seems like it would have unpredictable impact on your brake bias. *scratches head in confusion* someone break it down for me plz.

I've heard nothing but good stuff about EBC. Anyone know how much the cost difference is between the green stuff and Hawks (street)

rears do hardly anything at all anyways. It will not hurt to run a different pad in the rear.

You EBC haters.. how long ago did you use them? And what exactly is your gripe about them
I had EBC Greens and then Hawk HP+. When I buy pads again, 100% it will be the EBCs. The initial bite and fade resistance is incredible.

Jeff has a point here, I heard KVR were great but they are crap imo. Lucky for you! EBC is cheap cheap cheap so even if they suck, its not alot of money down the drain.

Had them all summer last year. They fade after 10 minutes lapping and offered close to stock braking on auto-x courses.... too expensive to feel like a stock pad imho.
