s13 I really need help with some wiring

S13, SR20DET.

I'm trying to wire up my fuel pump. I have it hooked up like so:

Here's my diagram

I blew the 10 amp stereo fuse today. It had voltage before I hooked the switch up to it, and after flipping the switch on, I hear a pop, and now there's nothing. Also, now my interior lights don't work (the ones on the ceiling)...

I'm about to pull my eyes out of their sockets right now, what do I do?

There's a couple things wrong with your diagram. Why are you bypassing the factory wiring?

You know the 4 or 5 wires with the plug-connector that runs through the car into the trunk and hooks up to the fuel pump wiring? Yeah, I don't have that. If I do, it's playing hide and seek somewhere in this car. I'd love to hook it up that way, but for some reason, I don't have it. Where does it originate, so I can try to wire it up if possible?

It runs through the rear chasis harness with the tail light wiring...

I just did some hiding of all the taillight wiring (it was a mess and I unhooked and cleaned everything up, then hid it all better throughout the car), so I know it's not there.

hey, I actually wrote a how-to on wiring a fuel pump from a relay, without bypassing the original circuit design, just bypassing the original wiring. look for my posts in this thread http://zilvia.net/f/tech-talk/488793...d-bad-cas.html

there's nothing wrong with your diagram, btw, but there is a better way to do it. If you follow my advice from the link above, you'll have it wired so that the ECU can switch the pump on and off through the ground. This will prevent you from blowing up in case you get into a bad accident where the engine dies, you're unable to reach your pump switch, and so the fuel pump keeps gushing out fuel Having the ECU switch the fuel pump's ground would prevent that. Lemme know if you need more help

Thanks! I'll rewire it according to your other post.
